The customer contacted Light IT Global because they were searching for a software development vendor that would implement a business idea they had. Our client wanted to create a multifunctional talent acquisition platform, an AI-powered job portal specifically for IT specialists and companies that want to get access to a wide tech talent pool.

Until recently, both talent acquisition and job search weren’t particularly easy or pleasant processes. It took a long time to find a suitable candidate or vacancy, and even the most promising interview didn’t always work. Our client’s goal was to utilize the power of innovative technology to facilitate this process for every involved person.
 
That is why they’ve decided to develop an “all-inclusive” AI-powered job portal designed specifically for IT professionals where every need of the employers and the applicants will be taken care of. The system should not only provide access to the relevant job listings from the companies that are looking for tech experts but offer multiple tools that will simplify the search and help to choose the best vacancy possible.
 
In addition to a myriad of AI-powered features, the platform should have provided the user with an easy way to track each application as it goes down the recruiting pipeline and visualize the process to define and eliminate blockers more easily.
 
The result of the development process should have been an easy-to-use all-in-one solution, an AI-based job portal that helps the users find the desired job/staff in less time and decrease the percentage of unsatisfactory hires.

Implementation

As we were developing the solution from scratch, Light IT Global’s first main goal was to offer our client the tech stack that perfectly meets their needs and safeguards a smooth, uninterrupted development process. For this reason, we’ve agreed to use Python, React, and PostgreSQL. All of these technologies are feature robust and stable, which was great for the project as many elements were added to the system “on the go.”
 
As the AI-based job portal was expected to be feature-packed, our experts had to find the balance between multifunctionality and ease of use. Light IT Global’s team made sure that the personalized dashboards available to employers and professionals are functional, user-friendly, and minimalistic.
 
The core of the system from the technical perspective is a number of AI-powered features. Artificial intelligence is used to provide individuals with a set of recommendations to improve their resumes, help them refine their skill sets, analyze newly-added job listings, and match those to the best-suiting candidates. Artificial Intelligence is constantly trained both by Light IT Global’s team and by the users themselves, as each professional or company representative can either apply for a job/get in touch with the candidate or delete the entry if it doesn’t meet their expectations.
 
Another key element to our client’s vision was the ability of the system to support all stages of the hiring process: from familiarizing the user with the available talent pool/job listings to an actual job offer. To achieve that, Light IT Global had to introduce a sustainable and convenient communication channel. After discussing this matter with the client, an in-app messaging system was chosen as a primary communication tool.
 
Our experts also enriched the platform with multiple features that make the interaction with the software even more comfortable. The most prominent instruments include a comprehensive filtering system, the ability to upload necessary documents (certificates, resumes, diplomas, etc.), and activity/recruiting pipeline tracking.
